Greetings all, lots to get through today so let’s dive straight in with a behind the scenes look at Tearaway presented by Hollie from the PlayStation Access team.
Trion Worlds has closed their San Diego studio, the team responsible for Sci-Fi tie-in, Defiance.
We can confirm that the San Diego studio will be closing. The day to day operations of Defiance will be moved to our Redwood City studio where it can be managed alongside Rift and our other in development titles including ArcheAge and End of Nations. As part of this transition, we are working hard to ensure that a number of great people will be making the move from San Diego to the Bay Area and continue their work at Trion.

Another dev diary, this time for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
Apparently my piece on the Xbox One unboxing had a mocking tone, I apologise profusely and shall leave the mocking to the experts, such as Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida. He was asked if Sony would be including a Sony sticker with the PS4, to which he replied:
“Every PS4 will come with a Sony logo on it… that’s exclusive to PlayStation!”
He also announced an exclusive day one perk for those who pick up a PlayStation 4 on the day of release. He called this one time, super exclusive perk “bragging rights”. He also revealed that unlike other, rather larger consoles, the PS4 has “no power brick.”
Of course the big question is will Yoshida be posting a cringe-worthy PS4 unboxing video? “I think people will want to experience it themselves :D” he tweeted.
Nintendo top dog Satoru Iwata has dashed any faint hopes of Mario and chums appearing on anything other than Nintendo consoles in the foreseeable future.
