Assassin's Creed IV Stealth Gameplay Walkthrough

Game director sneaks through with us.

The above commentated gameplay footage shows off how those all-important stealth assassinations. It’s Game Director Ashraf Ismail who’s talking. Our review of Ubisoft’s other stealthy release, Splinter Cell: Blacklist just went live, too.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to release at the start of November on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, with a PS4 and Xbox One release coming when they’re out and a PC version later this year.

I haven’t played one AC game, but I have to say the pirate stuff looks great, but when he is jumping about on roof tops and killing everyone in sight, it doesn’t look/feel much different to the first one.

But then again, I haven’t played any of the games.

Does look good, but after AC3 (the only AC game I haven’t enjoyed), I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about this one. Plenty of other PS4 games higher on my list, that’s for sure.

I feel exactly the same way. AC3 felt not nearly as innovative as the AC2 trilogy. So Black Flag is quite a few behind on my to get list.

I also agree. And once you come in-land, away from the beaches and pirate ships, it just looks like the previous games. I think I’m more likely to buy the next Vita AC game due to the lack of AAA Vita titles.

I’m so very sold on this game. I haven’t been this excited for an Assassin’s Creed since Brotherhood and it’s probably my favourite franchise. The previous two games were very disappointing, particularly AC3 but this is looking a hell of a lot better.
