No Xbox One Release Date Announced By Microsoft

The Microsoft gamescom press briefing has just finished, and in a bizarre turn of events there has been no release date mentioned. Sure we got some new games here, like Fable Legends, but no solid release date so close to a release window is quite worrying.

We already know that the Xbox One has been delayed in eight nations already, but this makes me think that there could be more going on with the One. Will we see a global delay? Probably not, but maybe one or two other territories will miss the supposed November launch.

What makes this stranger is that we know that Sony are detailing their release plans later on today, so Microsoft not taking advantage and getting the positive headline first is a strange move. Then again maybe they’re waiting to find out Sony’s release plans before confirming their own.

You can find out about Sony’s release plans from 6PM tonight, and we’ll be bringing all the news as it happens.

  1. Why bother with details, when you can spew aload of rumours all over the internet about how “Xbox One is going to launch first” and then have everyone read it as fact.

I wonder how many pre-orders that rumour netted them….

I hear they have some SERIOUS yield problems (as low as 20%) due to the design of the onboard ESRAM.

    Deja vu anyone?
