UK Games Charts: 02/09/13 - Two In A Row For The Saints

Killer is D.O.A.

Saints Row IV has held on to the top spot this week having sold over a million copies whilst Splinter Cell: Blacklist retains it’s second place position.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn makes a suprisingly high new entry and number three knocking Disney Infinity down to number four.  Rayman Legends is another new entry at six, closely followed by Madden NFL 25 a place behind.

The other big releases from last week, Lost Planet 3 and Killer Is Dead have charted at 26th and 29th respectively, a rather poor showing especially when you conisder these are the U.K. charts and they were beaten by an American football game.

Great to see the cracking Rayman Legends come in at No.6 and not slip under the radar as was seen with Origins when that released!

Definitely! Hopefully it gets another sales surge when the Vita version hits and then again around Christmas. Thoses spikes probably saved Origins back then. I really hopey they can continue this great series.

That explains why I keep encountering the same people online on LP3.

Surprised to see FF14 up there. I know the brand is strong but we don’t see many new MMOs putting in a strong performance at retail.

Really enjoying the game. Will have a review for you ‘orrible lot soon.

Very surprisingly considering it’s V2 of an old game which was a utter mess.

Well, V2 is a complete overhaul and considering even the “old” version looked way better than anything else in the genre there really isn’t that much holding it back.
I’m glad people gave it a proper second chance!
I’ll probably hold back until the PS4 version comes out, though.

Nice to see Madden debuting strongly in the UK. Wonder if it’ll be given a high profile during the NFL game later this month. Personally will wait til the ps4 comes out before deciding whether to purchase or not. Really wanted a PSV version with a game save that can go between the different consoles! I’ll stick with 13 on the PSV for now then!
