Sony's "Perfect Day" PlayStation 4 Commercial

I want to spend it with you.

Sony have released their own version of Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day” which includes The Elder Scrolls Online, Drive Club and Killzone Shadow Fall.

I am not sure Lou Reed was thinking about PlayStation 4 games when he wrote the song but it works rather well, what do you think?

The advert coincides with launch of Sony’s “Greatness Awaits” PS4 web site, which you can access here.

    Awesome ad.
The reason IMO it works well with the live action (and the actors they used, their expression etc) is it not only reflects the games but makes me think of playing against mates online, first thing that popped into my mind.

Best ad I’ve seen for a while and streets ahead of the PS3 ad’s, still not as good as the Mad World advert for Gears1 though, that was superb.

Axes, cars and guns. Says almost everything that is wrong about the games industry in less than a minute, doesn’t it? It’s just missing a licensed sport…

On a serious note, I really hope that Sony do at least some advertising of more creative games, because they haven’t convinced me I need a PS4 yet.

They should have used the original song not the actors singing it in my opinion.

I’s a much better use of the song than when it was used during the Olympics. That was cluelessly obscene. The song is about spending the day in Central Park baked on smack. So it fits the gamer junkie mentality perfectly. Get it?
