PlayStation Store Update: 30/10/13 – Assassin’s Creed IV, Proteus And £80 DUST 514 DLC

This week’s update brings the digital version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, as well as Rocksmith 2014 and some rather pricey DUST 514 DLC that probably no one will ever by unless they’re a bit insane.

So, for PS3 there’s Assassin’s Creed, Battlefield 4 (from Friday) and Rocksmith 2014 at £59.99, or the deluxe edition of Black Flag for £67.99, The Guided Fate Paradox for £39.99, another overpriced port of Angry Birds, Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow – Mirror Of Fate HD and Proteus for £8.99. That’s cross-play, so you’ll also get the PS Vita version.

In terms of other PS Vita games, there’s WRC 4 for £29.99, Furmins for £5.49 and a TuneIn Radio app which is £1.49 or free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

You can buy season passes for Assassin’s Creed and Batman: Arkham Origins, but a host of DUST 514 DLC has been added, including the Sparta pack which costs £79.99, and includes almost 3000 dropkits and vehicles.. There’s also money packs for the online portion of Batman, which is a bit ridiculous.

There’s a lot more in terms of DLC, and you can see everything here.

  1. I recommend WRC4 for the vita if you like driving games.

    • WRC3 was pretty good and apparently this one has all the features of the console versions

    • Was thinking of getting the Vita version but wasn’t sure what it was like.

  2. Any ideas when Carnivores HD dinosaur hunter thingy is out in the EU?

  3. Whatever happened to Guacamelee coming to Plus?

  4. I’ll check out the TuneIn Radio app, with 70,000 stations it’ll surely include Radio Paradise.
Proteus sounds interesting too but i’ll need to watch some video first.

    • TuneIn Radio works a treat, pretty barebones but you can browse or search for stations/artists/tracks etc.
You can set stations as favourites and change the bitrate, though mine worked fine at the highest setting. Laid out like the panels we’re used to seeing on the store, it also offers suggestions for other stations based on what you are listening to.
The settings only allow you to adjust the display to fit the screen, and there is also some thingy where you could put your email address, if you’re a bit daft, but i’m not sure what that gives you in return.
After around five minutes of being idle, whilst still playing a station, it plays a slideshow of a handful of generic-looking concert photos.
Personally, i’m just happy now that i can enjoy Radio Paradise thru my living room sound system :)

  5. if publishers want this “all digital future” they keep bleating about, they’re gonna have to sort their bloody prices out.

a download should not cost more than a disc copy.

    • You are right.. but I think both prices are to high..

So people stop paying these prices.. and let them know this has to change..

      • both prices are too high?

please don’t tell me you think a £40 day one retail disk is too high!???

      • Ok.. I’ll byte..

No I meant the £69-£79 for games..

And I meant the Used Games Protection on AC4 for example.. If they are protecting themselves for this the game for me has less value after playing so making it more expensive to buy in the first place.

  6. Proteus for me. Love me a weird game
