PS4 And Xbox One Size Comparison Pictures

Big and little.

Finally, someone had managed to get a PS4 and Xbox One into the same room, and has posted pictures of them very close to each other, so you’ll be able to see just how small Sony’s next generation machine is compared to Microsoft’s.

The Xbox One is huge, maybe about twice the size of the PS4 in total mass, but both consoles are looking fantastic in their design. We’ve prepared a gallery below with some of the images.

As you can see, Microsoft’s system towers over Sony’s, and the controllers are quite different in size too, although from experience I can say both are equally matched, with the Xbox One controller sitting in my hands that little bit better.

You can see the full size images in the gallery and more on PCGames.de.

Or a double Jack Daniels compared to a nice single shot of Monkey Shoulder or Aberlour. I better pour myself another Monkey :)

Oh, and let’s not forget the XBOX ONe still has an external power brick.

It’s funny actually, I was thinking the exact opposite. I was wondering how Microsoft managed to create something that large.

Sony managing that size is relatively comprehensible with current technology. But I haven’t the foggiest why Xbox One is so large, then again I don’t even know the exact specs of the One.

when I actually said its like my 20 year old VHS, I was pretty much right. Even that didn’t have a power brick. Christ, how the hell did they manage to design such a behemoth.

VHS is an understatement. It’s bigger than a bloody Betamax! :)

Sony Electronics is a large and experienced hardware company. Microsoft mostly does software. That’s why the X1 looks like a load of components thrown in a box compared to the PS4.

That Xbox One is huge! Does anyone know the weight between both of theses consoles? I know Xbox would be heavier, but I’d like to know how heavy is it?

        From what I’ve found, it’s said to be 2.77 kg (PS4) vs 3.18 kg (X1). With 10.8 x 12 x 2.08 inches, which volumes to 4.42 kg vs 13.1 x 10.8 x 3.1-inch voluming at 7.19 kg.

(Someone correct me if I’m wrong… that took me a bit to long to work out ;))

        Going with your dimensions….

        PS4 – 270 cubic inches
        X1 – 439 cubic inches

        Quite the difference. Wow.

Probably just my untrained eye regarding Xbox’s. :)
But the One’s control pad looks pretty much the same as the 360.
Does it have any touch sensitive stuff built in like the DS4 or not?

Is it just me that thinks the XO controller looks like the ones for the original Xbox?

And I still think it’s funny how they both have a two-tone matt and glossy finish.
