Kojima Loves The PS4, Hints At Metal Gear Themed Console

A Valentine's day love-fest.

Hideo Kojima has been singing the praises of the PlayStation 4 and has said the new Metal Gear games look better on the Sony console.

The last issue of Game Informer magazine explained, “Kojima notes that MGS V looks slightly better on the PS4 compared to the Xbox One.” He has since confirmed this opinion during an interview with Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia.

I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best. It’s also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at.

He also revealed the PS4’s memory has allowed them to load the map in the background so the game should be seamless with no loading screens. The game should play with one single camera shot from beginning to end, with gameplay transitioning smoothly in to cut scenes.

Kojima also hinted at a special Metal Gear edition of the PlayStation 4. He tweeted pictures of previous Metal Gear branded PlayStations before adding  “[SONY] × [PS4] × [MGS GZ] collaboration initiative is in progress. More information at a later date.”

Not sure allowing Kojima the freedom to seamlessly transition the game into cut scenes is a good idea…will there actually be any gameplay?

I see what you’re saying simplebob but is allowing Kojima the freedom to seamlessly transition the game into cut scenes a good idea…will there actually be any gameplay left?

I don’t know about following Kojima seamlessly with a camera, he might not be game for any play…
Au sujet de MGS themed console, I’d buy one. A friend bought the grey phat MGS4 PS3 and it really looked special.
