Vroom With A View: Project CARS Will Support Morpheus

Your move, DriveClub

Slightly Mad Studios have announced that their forthcoming PlayStation 4 racing game, Project CARS, will include support for Morpheus, the Sony VR headset.

“We’re proud to announce today that Project CARS will be supporting Project Morpheus giving players a totally fresh and exhilarating new perspective on what it feels like to sit in the cockpit of a high-performance machine screaming around a beautiful location,” explained a blog post.

“Not only can you look around the cockpit and see everything from a first-person perspective, but using head-tracking via the PlayStation Camera you can also now move around the cockpit too – peer closer at some intricate detail or turn around and look out of the back window.”

Project CARS will be available for on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Wii U, and Steam OS in November 2014, Morpheus has no release date at the moment.

“turn around and look out of the back window.”… Morpheus enables virtual rubber-knecking? :)

That’s promising news, that Morpheus, more so the PS4 can handle AAA games with good graphics.

Been looking forward to this for what seem like years.
It’s looking like was Morpheus for me, but I see at the end of the video it will also support Oculus VR.

    Looks very promising.
However, precondition to me ever considering a racing game on the PS4 is full support of my G25 racing wheel. I’m very unlikely to buy another one (got it as a present), and will not go back playing these kind of games on a controller, either. Here’s hoping…

Now that would qualify as next gen racing, racing wheel with Morpheus VR headset. I think my eventual next gen purchase will cost far more than originally anticipated!
Jeez, the PS4 desperately needs a racer and with the option to use the Morpheus peepers….Wow!

PS4, wheel and VR headset will definitely be next gen racing!
      I’m already saving for Morpheus.
