May’s PlayStation Plus Update Announced

Another month, another PlayStation Plus update and more games to join your Instant Games Collection. Will it be a month in which everyone is happy with the additions, or will noses be put out of joint and complaints fill the comments sections of the internet?

The PlayStation 4’s game of the month is the quirky Stick it to The Man, previously released on PS3 and Vita, but coming to PS+ at the same time as the PS4 launch.

It’s a side-scrolling adventure in a world where everything is made out of paper and stickers, but in which Ray gets the power to manipulate the world around him thanks to a big glowing pink arm which he discovers sticking out of his head one day. Sounds barmy, doesn’t it?

Coming to PS3, though, we have the rather solid additions of Payday 2 and Puppeteer, bring two well received games from last year to the service, while the PS Vita will get Muramasa Rebirth and Everybody’s Golf.

It’s all change next Wednesday, 30th April, as these games arrive in the IGC:

  • Stick it to The Man
  • Payday 2
  • Puppeteer
  • Muramasa Rebirth
  • Everybody’s Golf

Just be sure not to forget to add the games that are leaving the service before then:

  1. Looks fun.

  2. I was about to moan about buying things in the christmas sales only to find them on PS+ straight away, but then I realised christmas was 4 whole months ago.

Just the PS3 games for me next week then. Look kind of fun, for the right price. Stick it to the Man might get another play on the PS4 as well.

Lucky Vita owners who haven’t already played Muramasa Rebirth. Lots of fun and totally gorgeous looking. The DLC is worth a go too.

  3. Cool, would quite like to play a couple of those, but probably wouldn’t have purchased them:

    •Stick it to The Man
    •Puppeteer

    • Same. That’s where PS+ shines for me. I end up loving some games I probably wouldn’t have even played otherwise.

      • Indeed, I’ve found some real gems too!

  4. I’ll give Muramasa a go since I’ve heard a some good things about it. Not long had my Vita so I’m not going to turn down a free RPG for it.

  5. Looks like the Vita is going to be my focus then (if I can pry it from my sons grubby mitts).. No idea what Muramasa Rebirth is, but the Google images look pretty cool and I’ve always enjoyed Everbody’s Golf.

    • dude looks like the vita is turning into an rpg machine..
have you seen the amount of the little bleeders coming out for it?

  6. yay puppeteer luckily i was going to buy it cheap but no need now..
got everybody’s golf wicked little game.
and pay day 2 will be in my download queue.
what is it with the ps4 offerings just jazzed up rehashes of ps3 or vita games.
cmon sony get serious.surely you can do better.

    • Thats because there is nothing really of note for the PS4, yet.

  7. Awesome update though I still haven’t touched PES yet. Brilliant.

  8. This month highlights why I love ps+. I haven’t been interested in much from the last couple of updates, but now with puppeteer I have a game that I was interested in trying on release but totally forgot about, and now it’s for free (or for a minimal price depending on how you want to look at it)!

  9. Where was the leak this month? Have Sony plugged it?
Another good PS+ month and looking forward to Muramasa, although a shame Stick it to the man isn’t cross buy, as would have loved that for the Vita. Hopefully it will come up in a sale again soon.

  10. Puppeteer has been on my list for a while. Always nice to have a PS exclusive (since most other ones like Payday I have on the PC). So I’m happy with the months offerings!
