Guardian columnist and BBC satirist Charlie Brooker will make a cameo appearance in Sniper Elite 3 when it is released on 27th June on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Brooker was offered the role after writing nice things about Sniper Elite V2, calling it “the Rolls Royce of sniping games.”
“We really appreciate Charlie championing a British-made game series,” said Jason Kingsley from Rebellion. “We had a fun time doing his motion capture scenes and in return have promised to give him one of the first copies of the game in June so he can shoot his character with a sniper rifle to his heart’s content.”

Nice. He’s a big gamer and proponent of gaming in general so that’s a cool cameo to feature.

Looking forward to this. Watched a gameplay trailer on YouTube earlier, looks decent.

I had a good run through the demo at the Gadget Show a week back, it’s a damn fine looking game. The staff were genuinely interested in my opinion, quite refreshing for the cattle market it was. Think I’ll get this..

I’ll pay an extra fiver for it if I can shoot Gok Wan. Tenner if you throw in that tw*t from the Bt Infinity advert “can I use you fancy Internet”…..BANG!
On a serious note, love Sniper Elite! Preferred the original to V2, but the 3rd looks pretty good too.

You might have a good prospect for future DLC right there:
“Shoot your most hated people in slow motion. Requests taken!”
David Milliband would be one of my picks.

Charlie Brooker is one of the sharpest and funniest TV presenters out there at the moment, certainly doesn’t suffer fools gladly…..and he’s dating/married to Konnie :P
