A couple of weeks back Activision put doubt on whether The Amazing Spider Man 2 would release on the Xbox One with a statement saying, “We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One. When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.”
Then there was silence until today as it appears the game has appeared on the US Xbox Marketplace, and someone, Twitch user Hannibal15, has been streaming the first couple of hours of the game. Interestingly there is still no sign of the game in the UK, and no physical release of the Xbox One version has been confirmed either. The game is priced at $59.99 on the US Marketplace and has a download size of 9.89GB.
Even Beenox, the developer behind The Amazing Spider Man 2, seems to be unsure of what’s going on after answering a fan query on Twitter about whether they could buy a copy this week for Xbox One.
@CalebMinard We remain hopeful. We know it's frustrating for all of you, as it is for our programming team, who worked hard on the game.

So, The Amazing Spider Man 2 is in a playable state for the Xbox One, and it is available to get digitally in the US for now, but the developer still isn’t sure what’s up with the Xbox One version. This story just gets weirder as time passes.
