Killzone Shadow Fall Gets Four Player Co-op With Jetpacks

Jetpacks are back in fashion, as Killzone Shadow Fall gets an Intercept pack, coming as the next big expansion for Killzone Shadow Fall. This will see four players take on a mission to, well, fight against Helghast forces in a sort of Horde mode.

Like every good four player co-op game, each character will have unique combat roles: Assault, Marksman, Medic and Tactician. You can see exact details in the gallery below.

It’s your job to take over hacking uplinks dotted around the map, then work together to fend off foes, and there will also be an element where you can bank your personal scores, which leads to bonuses such as artillery strikes and jetpacks.

Enemies will have their own unique roles too, and will be attempting to capture the uplinks which you have to defend. You’ll need to defend your uplink from not only the mass armies, but some familiar villains from the campaign, which sounds really quite interesting.

There are four locations, inspired by the single player campaign (unfortunately, that terribly laid out forest looks like one of them – hopefully it’ll work better here) and it will come free for season pass holders, with a standalone version of the game to follow later this year.

  1. Awesome, very well supported game with regular new content continually incoming which is brilliant, makes me want to keep hold of it to see what’s next.

  2. I was hoping for some real co-op, not the old re-hashed horde mode. oh well.

  3. Co-op for four sounds great to me, wondering if June means 2 weeks or 6 weeks…
