New Xenoblade Chronicles X Trailer Focusses On Story

I got your mechs right here...

A new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles X popped up during today’s E3 Nintendo Direct, focussing on the game’s story. The game, the sequel to the Wii’s Xenoblade Chronicles, is set to be released on Wii U, but no precise release date has been given as of yet.

If you haven’t seen Xenoblade Chronicles X before, it’s a science-fiction RPG set on a world trapped in interplanetary war, as survivors who have fled from Earth fight to protect their new planet. The game, Monolith Soft’s first solo project on Wii U, was first shown off at last year’s E3, although the graphical style looks to have changed since last year’s gameplay trailer (below).

looks awesome, i wonder if it will have any connection to the original Xenoblade, or are they doing the Final Fantasy thing where each game is separate just with a few common elements in the games.

this is the game that’s gonna make me want a Wii U.
