The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter PC Release Date Revealed Alongside Gameplay

I’ll admit, I’m a little bit hazy on what The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is, outside of the supernatural twist to the Gamescom trailer. From what I can gather, looking at the game’s site and skimming through the gameplay video below, it’s a first person exploration adventure in which you play as the gruffly voiced P.I. Paul Prospero who’s looking into the disappearance of the eponymous Ethan Carter. Oh, and it’s bleeding gorgeous, too.

Although the game has been announced for the PS4, a release on Sony’s console isn’t going to happen until some time next year, as Polish team The Astronauts have been busily working to polish and finish the PC version of the game, which has just been set a release date of 25th September. Pre-orders will get a bunch of digital goodies from the soundtrack to a making of album, but these have also revealed the price point for the game to be £14.99, which should tempt a fair few people.

The release date news has also come alongside a 13 minute gameplay video with commentary, to give more details on how the game’s going to play:
