GTA San Andreas HD Remake Seemingly Coming To Xbox 360

While San Andreas made its way to Xbox 360 and PS3 already in the form of Xbox and PS2 classics respectively, a new listing of achievements – uncovered by XboxAchievements – suggests that an HD remake could be on the way.

It’s the 10th anniversary this month after all, and we could likely see the game remastered for PS3 too, with trophies. Hopefully that’s the case, rather than just adding achievements to the classic, although the latter has never been done before (and it doesn’t seem likely) so hopefully we’ll see San Andreas HD soon.

The full achievements list is over here, and they include accolades for completing the story, completing the taxi/emergency services mini-games as well as other little tasks, as well as failing and drowning. Overall, it seems quite simple to get them all.

Rockstar have yet to announce a possible San Andreas remake for Xbox 360 or PS3, but this listing suggests that it could be coming sooner than we might expect.

  1. And PS Vita. Please.

    • Now that would be awesome. Please please let it be on Vita.

    • Ooooh yes, fingers crossed.

      • No that would be considered to close to a full ‘AAA’ game for the Vita as opposed to all the indie games keeping it afloat.
Saying that there’s not much effort Sony would have to put in so maybe they’ll let it happen. Probably only as a download though….

  2. But will it be running at 900p and 30fps on the the XBone?

  3. This is the only GTA game I haven’t played so I would love a HD remake on the PS3/PS4.

Most people I know think San Andreas is the best GTA but for me that title will always belong to Vice City. I would REALLY love a HD remake of GTA Vice City.

  4. if you look on the ps store you will notice the ps2 classic version is no longer available

  5. Chikiddy check yo’self befo yo’ breakyourself !

    and another jewel:

Talkin’ bout the ghetto/ funky funky ghettoooo/
Tryin’ to survive/tryin’ to stay aliveee
THE GHETTO THE GHETOO THE GHETOO

The music was the soul of San Andreas. It came right after my friends and I devoured Vice City and that game will remain in our hearts for story, SA just blew our teenagers minds with the things it was capable. And the scale. And the music….sweet :) We used to pretend how gangsta we were. But I’ll let you in in a little secret – we all listened to country music while driving between the cities of SA. One of my favourite activities :D

Thing is…we even grew up near a bad neighbourhood and although we didn’t see shootings we saw some nasty things. And we heard about them. We knew the stories, who went to jail and why. We never got into trouble, mostly old grannies sent us away from laughing to loud under their windows. So we were okay kids :) Once they even threw a jar of water on us…jar included :))

  6. This is the only GTA that kept me occupied for a few… Years… If this makes it to PS4 its got 1 extra sale right here.

  7. Wow, if and when this makes the transition to PS3 it’ll be a day one for me and hopefully it’s success will bring about the release of the mighty Vice City in the same vein complete with bells and whistles.
    Aah, good times ;)

  8. What I want is for Rockstar to remake the old San Andreas map and bring it to GTA Online

  9. This was excellent on ps2. Fondly recall all the unpleasant duties officer tenpenny (samual l jackson) had me doing and The Truth and mowing down individuals with a mahoooosive combine harvester never got boring. And I’ve grown up as a reasonably well adjusted individual. Vita please!

  10. It’s likely a remaster, not a remake. My inner OCD wants to make that mention.

Anyhoo, I’d buy it for PS4 if it’s sufficiently upgraded. If not, I’ve got it on PC.
