It appears you can, if you are very careful, keep a secret in the world of video games. I’m not going to reveal anything else, watch the video and let us know what you think in the comments.
Bravo Ubisoft, bravo.
UPDATE: The intro for the game has also been leaked and quickly removed. At the beginning of the game you play as young Arno and walking in certain rooms triggers conversations, rather than cut scenes.

Yessssss. Was always top of my list.

I can never get excited for another Assassins Creed. There’s too many at least it seems interesting with the change of setting.

Just gone from “Another AC game, I’ll pick it up at some point- they’re always pretty good.” to “Must buy, what’s the release date again?”

On the one hand, I really wish I hadn’t seen that video. Or it hadn’t been posted in the first place. That would have been a wonderful thing to happen unexpectedly in the middle of the game.
But on the other hand, I’m now looking forward to it even more.

If this is more than just an unlockable end game/side mission, I don’t know how they’ve done it. This is the first bit of good PR the game has had really. They did well to only show a glimpse, rather than revealing all, getting people to (re)pre-order. I don’t have such a short memory though.
MrYd
When has it had any bad PR? It’s been looking like lots of fun since it was announced. No piratey shenanigans and a proper big city to run around.
The only issues so far seem to have been some people who have obviously had enough of the games and a rather pathetic attempt to stir up some shit with the lack of an option to dress your male character up as a woman. Which would have just been weird.
It’s now looking at least 3 times as much fun as Black Flag, and about 2.5 times as fun as AC3.
Although some comments already seem to be hilariously missing the point and jumping to ridiculous conclusions. (Not here, of course. We’re all reasonably sensible here. Says the man who was rambling on about Mr Brian Hover the other day)

Console parity stuff!
MrYd
Oh, yes. There was that. I thought we were all assuming that was some MS nonsense again and the PS4 version would get patched afterwards. Like it was with Black Flag.

I was on the fence about the game, but this new twist has me interested again. Very interested.

Cool, but it looks like a one-off bonus mission that is probably awesome, but only serves as an entry point to get people to buy the rest of the missions in that scenario via DLC.

I really hope you’re wrong, but I fear you’re not.

I was more interested in the game after the size and scale of the world shown in the last trailer. To be honest, this actually makes me unsure about where they’re going with this, though I was never keen on the whole sy-fy aspect of the series to begin with.
On the bright side, this is probably the closest we’ll get to a sequel to “The Saboteur”

The synapse is collapsing?
So the assassin lives in the synapse and not in the “real world”? When something didn’t work in the previous games (at least including AC 3, haven’t played AC4 – not going to), Desmond woke up in that Animus thing.
Strange and intriguing.

Literally went from ‘might buy’ to ‘must have’.
As has been said above, unless this is a puny 1 hour bit of add on content and not a core component of the game, I’m so excited for this game
