Destiny Patch Will Fix Bugs In Crota’s End Raid & Alter Map Rotations

Bungie has released some patch notes for the Crota’s End raid, and one update for the Vault of Glass, with these changes set to be going live on Tuesday January 13th. This patch will include fixes to bugs as well as the removal of exploits players may be using to make the Crota raid a little more manageable. The full patch notes are below.

Crota’s End – Updates
  • The existing Pit treasure chest reward moved to killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger.  She has a chance to drop Exotic weapons and armor, class pieces, and Radiant materials.
  • The Pit treasure chest will now contain Radiant Materials.
Pit Encounter
  • Removed the physics impulse caused by exploding lanterns.
Bridge Encounter
  • Players will now be required to cross the bridge in order to complete the bridge encounter.
  • Players will now be required to wait for the bridge to be completed prior to crossing with the sword.
Deathsinger Encounter
  • Fixed a rare case where the Shriekers would not spawn, preventing Asylum, The Anomaly, and The Burning Shrinelayers from reaching the Deathsinger.
Crota Encounter

  • Two Swordbearers will no longer spawn at the same time at the outset of the encounter.
  • Crota will now recover from his kneeling state after a player quits.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to remove the “Presence of Crota” using a Radiance Warlock’s Fireborn ability.
  • Fixed a bug that made the Oversoul appear destroyed to some players in a Fireteam when it was actually still active.
Vault of Glass – Updates
  • Exotic weapon drops in the Vault of Glass are now Level 32.

Outside of this the Crucible will also be getting some map rotation changes for Clash and Control matches. These come in the form of the three DLC maps called Asylum, The Anomaly, and The Burning Shrine being added. The Iron Banner is also returning from the 13th and will remain active until the 19th of January.

  1. Technically the maps aren’t new, they were previously only in circulation on rumble and skirmish modes. Will be nice to have a wider variety on control though.

Great news that VoG is going to start dropping higher level weapons, it is always a bit of a shame getting an exotic from there and finding it is now outdated. Roll on Tuesday!

    • I wonder if that means the Vex Mythoclast will get a stat bump too? Might actually be worth jumping back in.

    • Yup. Fixed that, Nate.

As for the Mythoclast, I don’t think there is a stat bump for that gun. All they seem to be saying is that where you would have got a 300 damage exotic in VoG before, you’ll now get the 331 version. The Mythoclast lives outside those two spheres, and the VoG legendaries won’t be getting a bump either.

  2. a lvl 32 found verdict would have made me exceptionally happy, that & Last Word are such a funny combination.
