Podcast: Episode 173 – Sheltered, OlliOlli 2 and Bloodborne

Unfortunately I was too busy to podcast again this week, as was Lewis. Fortunately, Kev was free, and I managed to bring in Tef and Vaughn Highfield so that he actually had someone to talk to. This actually turned out to be a pretty good combo, although it was somewhat let down by me, as I forgot to give Kev access to the podcast’s Twitter account. That means there are no listener questions on this week’s podcast, although hopefully we’ll bring them back next week.

They didn’t dispense with our other regular segments though, as they spent a fair bit of time discussing the week’s news and hosting a rather silly, non-competitive quiz from Buzzfeed. There was also the normal chat of what they’ve been up to, with Kev focussing on OlliOlli 2 and the development of his Caterpillar game. As for Vaughn, he spent a bit of time discussing a game called Sheltered that he saw at Rezzed, while Tef turned his attention on Bloodborne.

  1. Kev as host. Yeah! This is going to be awesome :D

I’ve seen many things in my life as a gamer, but what recently happened to the Hideo Kojima name in all MGS related merchandise was crazy. Never would imagine to see a Metal Gear Solid poster without the name Hideo somewhere on it. Just seems bizzare. I really hope Kojima doesn’t stop working on big AAA games (NO HIDEO! DON’T GO INDIE!).

Finally, I have the game you guys are talking about :D Type-0 is amazing. I really, really enjoy it. The story is interesting, nice variety in cast of heroes, visuals are just a remaster (as expected), but the characters look very nice. Well done game. Impressed this was a PSP game. Must have been amazing back then.
On top of that the demo of FF XV just blew my mind. Completely. Every bit of it. The graphics. The fighting. The scale of what we saw. Voice acting etc.

I cannot believe that Kev’s brother is now a regular point of the podcast xD Epic.

Getting Bloodborne this week. Can’t wait :D Nothing more to say.

Well done lads. Entertaining, but I’m kind of getting the idea that you should be more up to date with what is going on in the gaming world Kev. Seriously. Questions about what is FF Type-0, FF XV demo, Bloodborne? Thjis are like the major topics lately, especially the From Software game :P
