Fallout 4 Confirmed For PS4, PC, & Xbox One, Check Out The Trailer Here!

After yesterday’s social media tease, Bethesda has opened the doors to its official Fallout 4 website.

Update: Since our story went live, the website has been taken down. That hasn’t stopped us from grabbing a couple of images from the landing page, including three box shots.

Elsewhere on the website are links to various social media platforms as well as a YouTube video (sadly set to private).

There are also pre-order links to retailers including GAME and Amazon UK though, when clicked on, resulted in errors.

One last nugget of information we were able to uncover is that a June 14th reveal at E3 has officially been set in stone.

UPDATE: And here is the trailer!

The trailer seems to indicate that their will be aircraft in the game and the welcome return of a dog companion. It’s rather moving and seems to be casting you as a new vault survivor.

  1. I’ve never played more than a few hours of Fallout 3, but it’s an awesome premise so I can see myself getting into this.

    • That trailer is looking really good. If maybe a bit too close to Fallout 3 setting wise at times.

  2. I didn’t realise how much people seemed to love Fallout 3 and wonder if they are looking through rose-tinted spectacles. Fallout 3 wasn’t without quite a few glitches, severe frame-rate and/or stuttering and the ever-increasing save file size frequently make my game crash – and I believe there were still a lot of problems with Skyrim. I also found the grey/grey palette of the wasteland very depressing. If they can get around some of the technical issues on current gen hardware I’m sure that would help. I’m interested to know how closely the game will follow on from 3, and whether it’ll be set in the same wasteland.

    • I think the world was kinda meant to be depressing. Oddly though I found it to be one of the best, most entertaining environments I’ve ever plodded around in games.

      • Yeah, I’m sure it was meant to be, it just felt a bit too miserable at times ;)

    • Oh yeah glitchy as hell. The dlc on the goty edition is a nightmare on console. But aside from its technical issues it’s ace and Bethesda generally release buggy games and get away with it when produced by zenimax.

    • It did look very rough visually, but it was a true open world game I suppose. I hope they’ve really worked hard on the engine or licensed a good third party one.

    • I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought the colour palette was misery inducing.

  3. The countdown site is still counting down – 20 minutes to go as I write this.

Loved Fallout 3 on PS3 even with the problems, so looking forward to seeing what they can do on a PS4…

  4. i’m glad they went current gen only with this, i think they’ve pushed the PS3 and 360 about as far as they can, i can’t wait to see what they can do on the new hardware.

sucks if you don’t have a PS4 or X1, but the old last gen engine is a bit long in the tooth now.

    1 minute left. ^_^

  5. the countdown has now expired but….nothings happened, just say please standby. what a load of rubbish

  6. spoke too soon. trailer looks absolutley amazing!

  7. Just watched that trailer and looks amazing. I know Fallout 3 and New Vegas were buggy as they come but it didn’t kill my enjoyment. Games like these are what keep me gaming. It’s a shame the links ate not up and running yet or I would have it on preorder already.

  8. Hell yeah!! Give me a release this year and I’ll be heaven!

Having said that, get a hair-shader on that dog – he looked terrible. Riley (COD:Ghosts) looked a hell of a lot better.

  9. Fallout 3 was one of my favourite games of last gen and this is very much anticipated.
Hopefully the engine is a little more stable but the bugs last time around didn’t really ruin anything for me.

  10. anybody figured out where it’s set from the trailer?

maybe i’m just missing some obvious clues but i can’t figure it out.

    and a voiced protagonist, cool.
i remember some leaked last year that hinted at a voiced protagonist.

i really hope a voiced lead doesn’t preclude letting us choose male or female for our character, if Mass Effect could do it years ago on last gen hardware, Bethesda should be able to do it on current gen.

    anyway.

    SQUEEEEE! ^_^

    • Some news stories a while ago rumoured it was set in Boston. I don’t know of any key landmarks in that city so couldn’t say from the trailer. I’m sure they will reveal all at E3.
