The new game mode EA and DICE have been teasing for Star Wars: Battlefront is called Fighter Squadron, and it’s a mode restricted to just aerial vehicles, with two teams attacking or defending a transport vehicle. Up to 20 real world pilots can take the skies in one of many staple Star Wars fighters, and they’ll be joined with up to 20 AI players as well.
The gameplay trailer is mixed with cinematics so it’s a little jarring for a multiplayer mode, but the skies look very busy and very hectic, and the gameplay looks proper fast and enjoyable.

I’ve just watched the trailer for the umpteenth time and realized that this set just above a planet surface where there are a good number of defensive towers and a scene where there’s a trench to fly through… It could almost be re-skinned to be the Death Star… DLC anyone?
