There Is Going To Be A Downton Abbey Game

The Crawley family fortune is in jeopardy! Cripes!

Get your stiff upper lips on stand bye, Downton Abbey: Mysteries of the Manor is coming to iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire. At this point I would explain a bit about the game but I still can’t quite grasp the concept of a Downton Abbey game. What next, a Gardener’s World RPG? An FPS based on quaint radio drama The Archers? God of War: Antiques Roadshow Edition?

The thing is, it’s probably going to be a massive hit, much like the TV series. Mature women make up a huge percentage of mobile gamers so despite what we may think, this is a smart move by Activision.

Hang on. Downton Abbey is for “mature women”??

Don’t you mean “mature women and gay men, but we only watch it for Maggie Smith, and possibly that bloke who died in the first series”?

Unfortunately, it looks like some sort of hidden object nonsense. Not a FPS where Maggie Smith runs around killing everyone with piercing looks, a sharp tongue and bullets.

Incidentally, the village where it’s filmed is about 12 miles away from me and somehow has sexy morris dancers. Which I didn’t think was possible.

Sadly, we didn’t take any photos of Sexy Morris Dancers due to hands being full of sausages. In buns.

You can probably Google it and find some though. You just need to watch Downton Abbey first and work out what village it’s filmed in ;)

I want one of the female lead characters to state that she has “trouble downstairs”.
