Podcast: Episode 203 – Star Wars Battlefront Special

Search your feelings...

We’ve got something slightly different for you this week. As I was feeling a little under the weather, Kev and Lewis were left to their own devices and decided to go with an episode almost entirely dedicated to Star Wars Battlefront.

Before that they do put their own rather unique spin on the week’s news, and they eventually remember to round things out with the answers to your questions. However, in between those two points the duo spend all of their time discussing their adventures in Battlefront, mixed in with a little of Kev’s experiences with the companion app. As a special bonus there’s also a weirdly detailed analysis of There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.

Finally, if you’d like to see images from the Toddyhancer mod that Kev talked about, you can find them here. It’s fair to say they’re incredibly impressive.

Thanks guys. I’m ok. I played The Witcher 3 and got carried away, forgetting about the rest of the world. Please stop calling my parents’ house. Thank you.
Machete order? Never heard of that, but is sounds interesting. I’ve got cinema tickets already purchased for the new part coming in a few weeks, so this could be a great idea to watch the previous ones :D Here’s a link to everyone who would like to try it: http://moviepilot.com/posts/3388680?lt_source=external,manual

I wrote so much about Battlefront and how disappointed I am with the amount of content in the game AND how ridiculously CASUALY NOOBISH the game is, so I will just translate my comment form somewhere else:
“As a wise man wrote about Battlefront “beautiful but empty box” – and that is exactly true about the game.
Who played with me over the weekend knows my view: the most CASUAL title that I’ve played in recent years. Viewfinder literally flows for other players. No need to aim. No recoil and don’t give me here the physics stuff. All shoot in the same way. Flying? A joke!!! L2 to glue your aim to a target and shoot. Ready to go maneuvers on the d-pad. What the hell?!
There is not an ounce of depth. Something that can mastered, and it’s like how you go in the game depends only on luck, stupidity of other players and knowledge of maps – cool, but it’s enough for a few matches in the weekend and should cost considerably less.
Apart from whether something was cut or not, or simply developed later – it does not matter. Land in the fact that everything here is TOO LESS.
So I have complained, but the game is no a tragedy and overall it is a good game, while technically (graphics, audio, network code, communication with other players, the appearance of the menu, liquidity) is the highest league, a freakin masterpiece. The game looks and works beautifully. The game also more “pleasantly” in small modes – capture the flag is now my favorite.
I have very mixed feelings at the moment. If we would remove the entire Star Wars envelope it would be trash : / and so I cannot bring myself to sell Battlefront. Season Pass certainly is not a buy for me, as I don’t want to support a game that is clearly to expensive for what it gives players, so the question is: for the sake of the SW world is it worth to keep it? Eh. Decisions decisions decisions.”

I love how professional you interrupted the ending sound and carried on with the episode xD

    I’m not dead !
