A quick history lesson: Star Wars 1313 was revealed at E3 2012 and blew the socks off everyone who saw it as it. Then Disney bought Lucasfilm and a year later the project was cancelled, EA picked up the Star Wars license and ran off and made Battlefront.
Fast forward to the present day and Slashfilm have interviewed Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy, during which she mentioned the long dead project.
So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.
As Kennedy is head of Lucasfilm it’s entirely possible that Star Wars 1313 may be resurrected as a TV show or movie, but we could hope for a return of the game. We were very excited about the project as it made #7 in our countdown of games to look out for in 2013.
There is a shed load of gorgeous Star Wars 1313 concept art online and you can certainly see the more mature, dark feel of the game.

It won’t happen as Disney will want to mass market it towards the younger demographic and Disney’s Star Wars 1313 would probably be restricted. Along with Disney not wanting anything from pre-disney Star Wars to be a thing. :(
Shame as this would have potentially been the game that could have saved Lucasarts.
