Challenge Accepted: Fallout Gump, Episode 3

Welcome back to Challenge Accepted, a video feature and a personal undertaking. It’s a series intended to highlight some more unique ways of playing games, perhaps to the extent that the developers would never have thought of it.

Apologies for the break between episodes since the previous one. Christmas got in the way, as did all the Game of the Year articles and such, but we plan to get back on a more regular schedule from here on.

In this week’s instalment of Challenge Accepted, our slightly dim witted hero, Forrest Gump, finds survivors in need. He also finds a town with a slightly weird condition of entry, and has several run-ins with raiders. What’s the deal with that Feral Ghoul? Why is this strange man asking such bizarre questions? And are those two people having a fight twins? Find out in the third episode!

In case you missed the previous episode, it can be found here!

Credit, as always, to my brother: Neil Irwin, for coming up with the build and the gameplay rules, but if you have similar ideas for challenges within games that are fun, unique, and frankly bonkers, feel free to leave a comment and it may be the basis for another series.

Head over to page two for the character build and play rules, and I’ll see you next time.

  1. Playing as Forrest seems to make the dialogue choices more stressful, lol
