Doom Is Coming Out On May 13th

It’s been a long, long time in development, but the reboot of the Doom series is now ready to drag you back to hell on May 13th, as Bethesda announced the game’s release date today. Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, it returns to the series’ roots with fast and fluid movement as you zip around blasting hordes of demons.

At least, that’s what you’ll be doing in the single player campaign, which is featured in the new trailer above, but the game also has a lot to offer on the multiplayer side of things. Naturally, you can hop into the variety of different game modes and gun down other human players, which is especially true if you manage to grab the power up that turns you into a demon, but id are also giving you the ability to create your own maps and content with SnapMap. It’s a creation tool that won’t just be good for creating new multiplayer levels, but also solo levels and plenty more.

  1. Wow, what a trailer! Don’t think wy wallet can handle all the games coming out this year.

  2. I have fond memories of getting 4-player doom deathmatch running on the Novell network at British Gas in Cardiff, we had to create a special boot disk for each PC just to get the thing running.

    Good times… ?

I’m kind of hoping for an old school 4 player deathmatch option on the old maps, just for nostalgia’s sake.

    • More likely to be a DLC ;) there is always a DLC for nostalgia for money sake =P
