Joining them this week are Trackmania Turbo and Republique, though both of these titles will be releasing later this week.

There’s also Double Fine’s Day Of The Tentacle Remastered, which scored well in Dave’s review.

King’s Quest Chapter 3 has been confirmed, I believe, for an April 26th release. It’s only taken them 4 months… chapter 4 to be released on PS5 at this rate. Worst game series ever!

They even had the cheek to not include Chapter 1 in the season pass. So if you downloaded the first chapter when it was free on PS Plus and then purchased the season pass – if you aren’t connected to the internet, you can’t launch the game at all. If your PS Plus sub expires, you have to delete the game install and purchase the first episode to access the game – even though you already bought the season pass. Who are these monkeys?

They did a season pass with episodes 2-5 and a bundle with all 5 episodes. For the same price as buying episode 1 plus the season pass. (Well, technically the bundle costs 1p more)

Which is the most sensible way to do episodic games. Let you try the first episode, and if you like it, buy the rest without it costing more. Or jump in and buy it all in one go. Or even buy all the episodes individually (but that costs more)

Of course, the less said about giving us 20% of a game as one of the PS+ games the better.

I wonder how many people bought the season pass (after downloading the first Chapter with PS Plus) thinking they would be able to access the remaining Chapters should they choose not to renew their PS Plus subscription?

In this case, if your sub expires or if you are not connected to the internet, the game will not allow you to play ANY of the remaining chapters unless you stump up more cash and buy the first episode. You are effectively held hostage. You paid for chapters 2-5 but unless you buy chapter 1 (which you already completed and have no intention of replaying) the game will not launch and you can’t play the other chapters. It’s wrong and need’s to be addressed/fixed.

Nobody would think that, would they? If you get a game on PS+ and then go and buy DLC (which is what those other episodes are), you can’t expect to carry on playing the DLC if you’ve not got access to the game because you let your PS+ subscription run out.

The only issue that Sony need to sort out is not being allowed to buy something you’ve already got a licence for. You can’t buy a game if you’ve got it as part of PS+. Does that sort itself out when your PS+ expires? Can you then buy the game? Or does it not let you buy it because you already have, but won’t let you play it because your PS+ time is up?

i think you can buy any games you already have on your plus list if your sub expires, i’m pretty sure i’ve seen the buy option on some of the, many, occasions where i’ve forgotten to renew in time.

of course, it would be nice if you could buy them while still subbed if they’re going really cheap in a sale.
that’s not an option right now though, unless you buy them on a separate account of course.

Im not sure I would class 80% of a game as DLC but that takes us back to the issue of including single episodes in the PS Plus line-up as you mentioned above. In this instance they should allow you to access and play the chapters you have paid for and only restrict access to the first chapter. Im not sure why this is even an issue to begin with.

There should have been a warning explaining that by downloading the first chapter via PS Plus and purchasing the season pass for the remaining episodes, the remaining episodes will only be accessible if you remain subscribed to PS Plus. Otherwise you need to delete the game install and purchase the full collection.

The ‘purchase game’ tab on the game info screen even takes you to the season pass, not the collection. The whole thing is misleading IMO.

I picked up Vanishing of Ethan Carter for €9.99, and grabbed Assault Android Cactus with the discount – and if i keep on buying games in the sales like this my backlog will become a retirement plan.

Hmm… I’d by X-com again if they ported Enemy Within, doubt i’ll get this vita version unless it’s on a sale at some point.
