EA Look Forward To Lots Of New Star Wars Games

Early footage!

EA have announced that next year there will be a new Star Wars Battlefront, building on the foundation of the first game and adding more of what players want including content from the new films. Then in 2018 we will see the new game from Visceral and Amy Hennig, an original story with new characters set in the Star Wars Universe.

Those we knew about, what we didn’t know is that Titanfall creators Rewspawn are also working on a Star Wars game, and are making a third person action adventure. Although not specifically mentioned, DICE are working with Criterion on an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR mission for PlayStation VR this year, and the video below briefly shows someone wearing the headset.

Watch out for that blasted auto-correct, before you know it Amy Hennig will become Amy Hemming.. ;)
Can’t wait to see more of the game she’s involved in.

Battlefront isn’t the type of game I like but a third person action adventure sounds interesting. I look forward to finding out more about it.

    in summary.

    “we love Star Wars”
“we love being able to make a Star Wars game”
“we want to tell new stories in the Star Wars universe”
    “here’s a video of a guy opening a door”
    “bye”

    >_<

What they didn’t say is that half will be shit, the other half will be shovelware. And Battlefront is the main focus.

    What?

Bring back 1313! That had promise! Unless Lucasart trashed the source code when Disney forced them to can it. :(
