News Snatch: Seasons After Fall, FIFA 17, And The Animals Of Farthing Wood

Well that was an exciting week wasn’t it? Yay! Look at all enthusiasm I have for an new iPhone and the PlayStation NeedsAnExpensiveTelly. Wooo! Yay! Go terraflops! Oh. alright, it was pretty dull wasn’t it? I’m keeping Mark Cerny’s PlayStation Meeting presentation on my phone so his dulcet tones can lull me in to blissful sleep each evening.

Let’s ease ourselves in to this weeks Snatch with a beautiful trailer, this is Seasons after Fall which has launched on Steam. It is a hand-drawn puzzle-adventure game in which you play as a wild fox who has the ability to change the seasons at will.

Readers of a certain age (e.g. old farts like myself) will watch the trailer think just one thing: It’s The Animals of Farthing Wood.


FIFA 17 will be getting a demo. Yes, a demo! Remember them? We’re not sure what platforms this will be for, but it will land on September 13th.

Smegging hell, Red Dwarf is getting a game! The mobile title created by GameDigits will allow you to control Red Dwarf, Starbug and characters from the show. It will include plots from th upcoming series, as well as original material written by show head, Doug Naylor. It will launch in a few weeks to coincide with the new series on Dave.

A word guaranteed to make me lose interest in a game: Roguelike. Everything is Roguelike these days. Here is the Roguelike Tumbleseed which is coming to PS4.

CCP and Sony have teamed up to publisher a physical version of EVE: Valkyrie, it will be out day one of the PlayStation VR launch, October 13th.



Bandai Namco have announced the Power Rangers inspired Chroma Squad for PS4, XB1, and Vita, out early next year. It is already out on PC.



Table Top Racing: World Tour is getting a second DLC pack, the “Tropical Ice Pack”.

And Finally, I mentioned it earlier so here are some scenes from The Animals of Farthing Wood. It was brutal, if you thought Game of Thrones had a high body count it has nothing on this children’s show from the 90’s. I still have nightmares.
