FIFA 17’s First Title Update Adds Premier League Broadcast Package And Fixes

EA has released the first update for FIFA 17 which adds a new Premier League broadcast package visuals as well as additional fixes and changes. These include being able to skip the cutscene that plays after some fouls, and increasing the AI’s direct attack attempts. Pro Club players may find their Overall ranking has dropped due to a change where more experience is required to improve ratings, but no progress has been lost. You can see the Premier League package below as well as the complete update list.

Addressed the following in gameplay:

  • A situation where cancel was unresponsive after requesting a clearance.
  • A rare situation where the penalty shootout should have ended earlier.
  • Increased the CPU AI tendency to attack directly.
  • An issue where players sometimes overrun the ball after a skill move.
  • Increased the chance of error from ground crosses (triple tap).
  • Improvements to ball physics where shots off the goal posts lose too much speed.
  • Goalkeeper positioning for corner kicks.
  • Improvements made to player switching from corners and free kicks.
  • An issue where the player would control the ball instead of attempting a clearance.
  • Improvements to contested headers logic from corner kicks.
  • General fixes for player controlled celebrations.
  • Cut scene for contentious fouls can now be skipped.
  • Improved the general responsiveness of shooting.
  • Minor improvement to passing responsiveness when the ball is in the air.

  • Increased experience required for the higher overall ratings in Pro Clubs. *
  • Addressed an issue where a player’s customised facial features did not display properly in game.

In Ultimate Team:

  • Addressed an issue where the player is forced to substitute an injured player in FUT online matches.
  • Corrected the shooting and crossing text in custom tactics

  • Updated team kits, banners and flags for Velez Sarsfield and Tigre.
  • The goalkeeper now correctly celebrates after catching the final penalty in a shootout.

  1. What they really need to fix is being injured in pro clubs, that is as useless as calling yourself 2Chainz lol but seriously that needs addressing along with how long it takes for the keeper to kick the call out when you are trying to counter attack

  2. Finally currently updating. I swear every FUT online they always score from corners I have Rated 88 Illoris Goalkeeper that fecking should make some cracking saves but feels like a bloody bronze Goalkeeper to me…. *shakes fist at EA*
I swear Fifa FUT is becoming more appalling every year with cheap goals

    • Yeah – I hate it when you GK makes a save (falls over) and then the ball is going to drop below the bar. The GK gets up in time and yet is still beaten to the second ball by the strikers head, even though the GK can use his f**king hands!!

Headers are overpowered. I had Messi beat Ramos in Draft Online from the only cross I conceded, and it wasn’t like it was a quick counter-attack cross. I was pissed.
