Dreamfall Chapters Comes To Console On March 24th 2017

Following on from one of the most widely celebrated point & click adventures of all time, Dreamfall Chapters continues the story of The Longest Journey, spanning two parallel worlds with the fabric of reality in danger. The episodic game’s five chapters released on PC between October 2014 and June 2016, but the story as a whole is now being brought together for release on console next year.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game was actually announced way back in 2014, as the series was just getting underway, but presumably it was seen as better to focus on making the game for PC without having to divert resources to other platforms.

It’s now coming out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 24th 2017, and will cost £24.99/€29.99. The game isn’t just a straight port but has actually been improved in the process with reworked character models, improved lighting and an expanded soundtrack.

  1. Superb! I loved The Loved Journey so will be picking this up :)

  2. Almost forgot about it. I remember back then it was announced as a console exclusive for PS4. I’m fine that it’s coming to Xbox as well, it just seems like a trend for Sony as of this year that they are loosing exclusivity deals in abundance with indie games. Just read about What Remains of Edith Finch last night; surprising that a studio they made a three game exclusivity deal with (starting with The Unfinished Swan) and who worked inside Sony Santa Monica suddenly “jumps ship”.
