Musical RPG AereA Tuning Up For June Release

Palindromic music.

Music often plays a big part of video games, and there’s many an RPG that is accompanied by a fantastic sweeping score, but it’s rare that music has such an integral part in a game world. It’s usually heavy metal that gets to enjoy the limelight of fighting demonic monsters in a gothic setting, but AereA sends heroes based around classical music into the fray instead.

A music-filled world has been split into three islands, but the nine primordial instruments that hold it all in balance have been stolen. As a disciple of the Great Maestro who created them, you venture forth to do battle with music-themed enemies to restore balance. If one thing is certain, it’s that this game will use a very different kind of bow to fight enemies.

Today’s announcement is that AereA is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 30th June.

Excellent – I was hoping this was coming to Ps4 as I’d only seen it on Steam. I’ve been enjoying the titles that Soedesco have been putting out. They are all very PS2 era and that’s my favourite so I’ll pick this up.
