L.A. Noire Might Be Getting A Remaster And A VR Mode Along With It

L.A. Noire was a brilliant but sometimes flawed game that saw the use of some fantastic face capture for its actors, and coupled it with an interrogation system that could be a bit iffy at times. Who could forget choosing an option that seemed reasonable only for Cole to unleash a tirade of anger at the interviewee? Now it appears Cole could be making somewhat of a reappearance if rumours are to be believed. There have been rumours of an L.A. Noire remaster for a few months now, as well as a Switch release.

Now those rumours seem to be growing louder as various individuals close to the industry claim that the L.A. Noire remaster is happening, and will be out later this summer. In addition there will be a Switch release alongside the other consoles, while the PS4 version may have a PSVR mode. A first person mode akin to the Grand Theft Auto V’s has also been suggested.

Rockstar is no stranger to reworking its games for different console generations, so an L.A. Noire remaster isn’t outside the realm of possibility, but treat this as a rumour for now.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. The one remaster I would love more than anything else. YES PLEASE.

    • More than Star Wars The Force Unleashed & The Force Unleashed 2 Remastered?

…and confirmation of The Force Unleashed 3 to be released next year?

      • Definitely. It’s number one on my list.

  2. This is one of those games that I had on my list to play on the PS3 but for whatever reason, never did.

I’ll definitely pick this up if the rumors turn out to be true.

  3. I loved the setting and technical mastery on show but the core game was lacking for me.

L.A Noire’s idea of great detective work was simply picking one of several vague dialogue options over and over and over.

  4. Was so disappointed with this game. Amazing replication of LA with absolutely nothing to do. No ‘sat nav’ was annoying too. RDR remaster is what everyone wants! Especially as RDR2 will inevitably be delayed.
