News Snatch: Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, Culdcept Revolt, And More Improbable Boobs

Hello there, time for another round up of news from behind the back of the TSA sofa and we start with some gameplay footage of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock. You have to fast forward quite a bit through the video to get to the gameplay which seems to consist of moving models of ships around. Not what I was expecting to be honest.

Installation 01, a Halo fan game being built in Unity which aims to capture the spirit and gameplay of Halo 2 and 3, has been given the go ahead by Microsoft. Normally this sort of thing gets shut down by publishers but Microsoft have agreed the project can continue as long as it is not-for-profit, and none of the assets are lifted from the Halo games.

Culdcept Revolt, a collectable card game for the Nintendo 3DS, has had it’s release date moved and now arrives on 6th October in Europe and 3rd October in North America.

This is a bit old now but we missed it when it was published, some gameplay from twisted horror game Agony which is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

If you have a SNES emulator you can download the original SNES prototype for Rayman. There is not much to it as the project was scrapped but if you fancy playing a bit of gaming history, now is your chance.

There is now a Nintendo themed version of Monopoly, complete with power-ups and boss battles. But it’s still a board game. Go figure.

The PlayStation YouTube channel recently hosted a trailer for Anthem and some eagle eyed viewers spotted was in fact Xbox One X footage but with the PlayStation buttons overlayed. Sony have since taken down the trailer and I suspect Bioware provided the video so they were the sneaky ones and Sony uploaded the video in good faith.

Fancy a fight stick for under £60? Then the new Arcade Fight Stick by Venom might be just what you are looking for. It’s in the shops now, for more info head here.

This is a rather wonderful bit of street art that popped up on London’s South Bank to celebrate the launch of the Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood expansion. The Chocobo is actually a man in a suit.

OMG! IMPORTANT NEWS! In a break from tradition a developer has said that their latest game is the best one they have ever made! I know! Scandalous! Normally they just shove out a game and say things like “Yeah, that RTS title we did three years ago is better than this pile of toss,” so top marks to the Metro newspaper for running the headline that Rare think Sea of Thieves is “the best thing we’ve ever done.”

That last ‘news’ item has got me so annoyed we’re going to end early with some Improbable Boobs. I have no idea what this is, but it’s coming to PS4 and PS Vita in Japan. I’m guessing you have to use the Dualshock sticks or the PS Vita touch screen to massage the phallic objects from between the flappy funbags.

  1. Sneaky slip in of the Anthem news there. Questionable if Bioware provided it or not. An embarrassment all the same given it’s footage from a more powerful hardware map.

    Installation 01 sounds very interesting.
