Halo 5 Will Support 4K On Xbox One X, And Xbox 360 Halo Games Will Be Backwards Compatible

Was there really any doubt?

343 Industries has today confirmed that it will be releasing an update for Halo 5 when the Xbox One X releases which will include support for 4K. Furthermore the studio also confirmed that the Xbox 360 Halo games will be going backwards compatible later this year, so if you didn’t pick up the Halo: The Master Chief Collection  you don’t have to fret about getting it.

The games that will be backwards compatible include Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4, and Halo: CE Anniversary. Furthermore each will support online and LAN multiplayer, with LAN support including Xbox One to Xbox 360 connections. To make sure the player base isn’t split either all DLC map packs will be made free as the games go live on the backwards compatible service.
