Something For The Weekend – 24/02/18

Paradise.

The big news this week was that we’ll get the opportunity to revisit Paradise City in glorious 4K and 60fps!  It’s been a long time coming, and more importantly it’s EA’s first step into remastered games market. What EA titles would you love to see join Burnout getting the remastered treatment?

Compared to last week, the reviews were far stronger:

This Week’s Features

Kicking off the previews, Tef went hands on with Assassin’s Creed Origins: Curse Of The Pharaohs, which delves “deeper into Egyptian mythology in a way that will surely appeal to a lot of Ancient Egypt buffs out there” of which you can see below.

It’s just under a month until the release of Surviving Mars, so Tef sat down with Haemimont’s CEO Gabriel Dobrev to talk about some of the inspirations for the game. It’s quite timely, what with SpaceX’s recent successes!

It feels like every week there’s a new port for the Switch, but sometimes they don’t pan out as well as you’d hoped. People were disappointed with the original release of Rime on the console, but Tef had a look at a big patch to improve the game’s graphics, calling it a “solid all round improvement to the game on Nintendo Switch, making it a much more palatable experience when stacked up against the game on other platforms.”

Last up, and providing quite a bit of discussion, as TSA asked which console controller is best?

Finally, What We Played featured Age of Empires, Metal Gear Survive & SoulCalibur VI
