Square Enix Showcase More Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Gameplay At E3

Casting shadows.

You didn’t think Square were done with what they showed at Microsoft, did you? No, they have their own E3 showcase and they opened it by showing the start of the game, some of the game’s brutal combat (something which I talked about in our preview here), and more.

Check it out:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 14th September.

All indications are that this will be a more fan-pleasing Tomb Raider than the previous ones were but my disappointment with RotTR has dampened my interest to the degree that i can’t raise a mote of enthusiasm for the new game right now. I might need a while longer to reboot myself into the correct state of mind.

I thought the reboot was good but a three part origin story… we’re entering ‘The Hobit’ teritory here. Just get on with it already.

Can’t wait until we have an older and more worldly Lara again. Someone with a thirst for knowledge and passion for archaeology. This new Lara doesn’t feel special or extraordinary in any way. She’s just a victim of unfortunate circumstance. Again.

I mean seriously, never travel with this woman – you’ll either crash, blow up or sink.
