UK Charts 16/06/18 – God Of War Returns To The Summit

You just can’t keep Kratos down, can you? With no new entries into the charts – Jurassic World Evolution’s retail release isn’t until July – and with a healthy dose of E3 discounting in the Days of Play promotion from Sony, God of War is back on top of the UK charts.

That same promotion saw everything from Wipeout Omega Collection and Shadow of the Colossus through to Knowledge is Power all returning to the top 40, while VR World leapt up to an impressive 5th place as PSVR bundles were also discounted. Last week’s leader, Dontnod’s Vampyr, slipped down to 8th, staying just ahead of the resurgent AC Origins and Call of Duty: WWII, which rounded out the top 10.

  1. Good to see Vampyr Doug well and there’s GTA V again! Can someone please do some investigative journalism on how it’s still selling so well? It’s the most bizarre thing! Just looked up some stats on best selling games, since I checked last year sometime GTA V has overtaken Wii Sports, it may never challenge Minecraft for 2nd best selling game ever but GTA is on an astounding 93 million sales now, Minecraft’s 144 million is pushing at the Tetris record of 170 million.

  2. Onrush drops out of the top 40 after one week. Ouch.

  3. Seen God of War for £35 in various supermarkets. Almost took the plunge myself.

  4. Look at VR worlds up there.

    • They count bundled games for those charts, don’t they? And it was bundled with the PSVR on sale for £200.

Looks like a lot of headsets were sold over the past couple of weeks.
