News: Codemasters Working On F1 Game

According to Autosport.com, Codemasters are working on an F1 game based on the 2009 season. The game will use the Ego engine (used in DiRT and GRID) and at the moment 350 people are working on the project in house, including some from the old Sega Racing Studio, which is great news.

Grid was Bloody awful as demo's go, handling is awful, pivot point steering(dont even go there), its partly the reason i didn't buy Dirt and looks like grid will also be well ignored, and now they're going to do my prized F1 game!!!, %*#@ THAT!

Grid suffers from a central pivot point when steering, like DiRT, sadly.

I hope it isn't like Race driver grid... PLayed the demo last night... was utter garbage, handling was awful. If the F1 game is using the same engine as it then that will probably be shite too... :(

i had a go on Grid last night. I do hope they improve the handling of the cars and do some proper research into how they should feel. I felt F! CE had done it really well. It seemed to feel right when carrying speed though corners.

Great! At least a change of developer should freshen it up a bit!
