I start by taking out the 5 or 6 guys then jump down and wait for the automated missile system to become active again then the copter gets a hit but the timer is running so I tend to start rushing a bit and miss an enemy that is well hidden and he kicks my ass back to checkpoint. I have got within 1 second of the Sub though at one stage..that was when the controller nearly died lol.
Edit: Now only 4 levels of Veteran left but had to leave out that stupid contingency level using level select….it is impossible and anyone that completed it was dreaming or a genious, 2 minutes is just pathetic give me 2 and half mins and no probs i'll drive the damn submarine. Seriously though guys that is a dammed tough call at 2 minutes and Kudos to all that probably got there in a minute.
I should really stick to racing games lol.
Edit2: Completed Veteran apart from that 2 minute dash to the Submarine in Contingence so tried it on Hardened difficulty and completed it first attempt…. but that gives you 3 minutes in which to do it….2 minutes is madness on Veteran.

I haven't ever played CoD5 as I heard it was a piece of shit but MW2 on vet is very easy compared to vet on 4. The only thing that makes it challenging at all is that the enemies throw jelly on your screen and you can't see half the time. If you could see properly when hit (like the other games) it would be a complete walk in the park. The enemies don't mindlessly respawn like they do in the previous games, they don't spam grenades and their bullets do less damage. Thus we get an easier game, probably to make it more accessible to more people than just the die-hard CoD fans. That and all the above flaws in the previous games were cheap shit tactics to deliberately make it harder and pad the length. Now they've got everyone hooked from CoD4 they can pretty much do what they want and people will still buy it. Hell, they could even just re-skin 4, stick in a confusing new story and add an extra number to the end. Oh wait, that's what they already did.
If you were playing on Recruit you could probably finish the single player a couple of times in three hours. Not sure why you'd want to though, unless you were into self torture. I prefer watching paint dry, jabbing myself in the leg with a pen and shouting canned army phrases over and over.
