Hey chaps,
As I said in my first impressions post, the solution to this one was a little bit obtuse! So, now that I've totally cracked it, I've created a little tutorial level to better illustrate how things can be plugged together, to give the illusion of teleporting your player from one machine to the other.

http://lbp.me/v/g45kzg

It all hangs on using the Vitanator to control your character on PS3, then as you jump into the portal on PS3, booting yourself out of the Controllinator on Vita, and shoving yourself out via a pair of linked wormholes.
Then do it all in reverse!

Ha! I'm not sure I'd really know where to begin. I'm not really all that proficient at creation in LBP, really, and things like the holograms are total dark arts to me still.

I'll have a look around for a good guide on it, and pass it along to you if I find something. :)

Oops, I kind of forgot, but have had a quick nose around now. I can't really find anything specific, but it doesn't seem too complicated…

You basically want to use the Cinematic Camera combined with the sequencer and scripting movements for a bunch of sackbots. It's "just" taking those few elements and mixing them all together, really…

If you want, I can keep digging. :)

Oh thank you – I think the sequencer is my problem, as I don't know how it works very well.

Perhaps you could jump into create mode with me at some point and show me how it's done?! hodgi

Sequencer is just a timing device, like a movie or music editor.

Imagine that it's a single screen of Soundshapes, where you've created a loop of music which can go round and round. As the line goes across it, it triggers each of the notes, triggers, timers, toggles etc. etc. which it comes across. In the options you can then control how fast the line moves across it, whether the sequencer repeats or not, what triggers it, and so on.

I'll be happy to pop on for a little bit, if you like. :)
