First, yes, I know this is gaming banter and not general chat, but no one visits general chat anymore so… meh to anyone who disagrees with this being here laugh

So, on topic, what are your favorite relaxing songs/is your favorite relaxing music? I've got a few I'd like to share, calm me whenever I'm moody or stressed:

(Entire album played at once, very very fond of this one).

So, what does the wonderful TSA community find relaxing then? smile

Radiohead, any song.

But my favourite song by far is There There.

Edit: Video fail, I haven't embedded a video in a long time. Here's the link

Anyone that hasn't heard this before, I URGE you to listen right now. Such a beautiful song, and so powerful yet haunting.

EDIT, right totally different to how I usually embed. What am I missing?

Anything from Ludovico Einaudi and you're golden. That man has made some of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard:

Rachael Starr Vs. Perasma – Till There Was Harmony (Gabriel and Dresden Bootleg)

This basically is a mashup of Rachael Starr's Till there was you and Perasma's Swing 2 Harmony, both in the Gabriel & Dresden remix.

Unfortunately this track was never released through official channels and I only ever heared of this track in Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance Episode 193. It's rather "fast" for relaxation music but everytime I hear it my mind is immediately at ease.

"La femme d'argent" can really take you to heaven/wonderland, such a soothing and dreamy track, and also the album, good call.

Here's two of my favourites:

Probably my favourite:

Also, bare with me here, but having RainyMood.com open in the background is unbelievably relaxing when listening to music. Try it, it's perfect.

Sympozium – you are mental! Relaxing music. Not "Music I want to listen to and post links on the web".

BT has some wonderful music and is so hugely respected within the industry. His award winning album, Binary Universe, has a truly unique and beautiful opening track.

Any track from Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes album; Silent All These Years is a particular favourite.

Or Mazzy Star, especially Fade Into You or Into Dust (as featured in the Gears of War 3 trailer).

Bringing it back to gaming, I listen to the Flower soundtrack a lot.  I also find listening to the Machinarium soundtrack stops the red mist when supermarket shopping – their are a handful of extra tracks in the game folder as well, if you didn't know already.

I love the music from American Beauty – Any Other Name.

Boomshanks – that's a beautiful piano piece, fella. Good shout.

Gazzagb – sublime suggestion. Listening to "rain" right now. *happy sigh*

Top shout to Watchful too. Haven't listened to Tori Amos for ages.

Philbert – and another good call with American Beauty and the Flower soundtrack. For those that need reminding, here's the opening track 'Life as a Flower'.

The message that goes with it is amazing, too.
