Games You Couldn't Finish Forum

I've been trying to enforece myself a policy of "don't move on to the next game until you've completed the last" at the moment so it has been a while since I failed to finish one but I do remember trying and trying and trying but never completing the final mission of Vice City. 

I've just started my Hard playthrough on Bioshock 2 and forgot what a great game it was. If you don't compare it to the first, it's still bloody good in it's own right. I nice change to some of the unimaginitive things I've played recently.

I'll keep my answers short and sweet. Dead Island because in my opinion in it rubbish. Castlevania Lords of Shadows because it's so damn hard. Deus Ex as it is boring. MW3 as it's the same old shit.

Battlefield 3, LA Noire, SotC & Resident Evil 4 HD (but I did complete the PS2 versions), DiRT 3, Brink, LBP2, SSFIV, Borderlands, NFS Shift, Killzone 2, GTAIV, Fallout New Vegas, GT5, Assassins Creed 1 & 2, Lost Planet 2, various Tomb Raiders, Saw, Just Cause 2, Renegade Ops, Stacking, Far Cry2, Final Fantasy XIII.

All of these are for being over-ambitious with my free time.

I'm like a kid in a toy shop. I've since decided to buy fewer games, but will try and Platinum the ones I do buy. Otherwise it's just wasted money if I do't play them.

Also didn't understand it was games that I liked. 

Most recently, MW3. Usually really enjoy the campaign mode but this one just seems to be such an extreme exaggeration of go from point A to point B while shooting at innumerable rent-a-bad guys with a shit load of eye-blistering explosions going on in the background, I just can't bring myself to be motivated enough to actually sit down and play it, there's enough going on for it to play itself.

Since the release, I think I've managed 3 missions. Still, the multiplayer is bags of fun!

I loved what i played but the glitches ruined it for me aswell unfortunatly i think i played about half way through before i had enough

Kane & Lynch 2 – Because it's..well…awful.

Battlefield 3 – Loving this game, just haven't got round to it.

Dead Island – I'm halfway through Act III, but it seems to drag on. 

And thousands more! 

A host of PS3 games that I have yet to complete that I class as ongoing (completed Assassin's Creed 2 last week after having it for 2 years lol). I don't sell them so I shall complete them at one point. 

Games that I have progressed far into and not finish;

Final Fantasy 6- Got right to the end last boss and never got past despite being a high level. I remember a side quest where your on a ghost train and I couldn't get out of it so probs why.

Final Fantasy X-2- Another right at the end yet did not finish. Hard game in light of the need to grind and the dark Aeons were bitches.

Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core- Great game was well on my way and then…save data got corrupted  

Ape Escape 2- Last boss was insane from what I can remember so never got round to it.

I have a massive backlog of games on PS3 including:

Bioshock 2 - I love Bioshock and enjoyed the beginning of 2 but for some reason can't motivate myself into playing it

CoD Black Ops - hate the single player story, so can't be bothered to finish it

Valkyria Chronicles - love the game to bits but always get distracted for a few months and whenever I go back I always start a fresh game 

Oblivion - just got bored

Fallout New Vegas - same as above

Demon's/Dark Souls - always have good intentions to persevere with the games but get disheartened really quickly when I die in the same place over and over

Atlier Rorona - fell in love with the setting, graphics and characters but grew tired of the gameplay before long

Lego Harry Potter - same old Lego gameplay finally caught up with me

Dead Space 2 - mainly haven't played it because I wanted to finish the first game before getting into the second and subsequently left it

Brink - haven't even played the game once 

GTA IV – played the majority of the game before my original PS3 died and never went back to it since my game save was lost

Eternal Sonata - got tired of the gameplay quickly despite loving the anime setting and character depth

Cross Edge - never mastered the combat controls and never tried it again

LA Noire - Played once and abandoned due to boredom

Then I have some Xbox games that I've not got through too 

Halo 3, ODST and Reach

Mass Effect 2 - though I am slowly making my way to the end

Left 4 Dead 2

Fable II

Splinter Cell Conviction

Crackdown - never played

Aliens vs Predator – played once

Naruto Rise of a Ninja - played once

This massive list doesn't even include DS/PSP games either  Somebody please give me a slap to encourage me to change my ways – something tells me I really need it…
