Certainly would! The only two things we can really hope for are a retailer price war, or for Sony to open up and allow Sandisk to produce competing products leading to a different kind of price war. Personally I doubt that they'll open things up at all… There's no incentive for them to do so, after all.
Personally, what I'm doing is ordering from Amazon, with that bundle. Then I'll either just keep the 8GB stick until I need more space, or I'll sell it right away, and also pre-order the 16GB stick. So I'd get the 16GB for an effective cost of ~£12.

I dont think they will open it up to the likes of Sandisk. Possibly later down the line though. Sony will make loads of money off it because everyone that buys a Vita will buy a Mem. Card. So it seems like we are relying on a retailer price war like you said but rather than all this i would rather they sorted out the browser!

The thing with the browser is that Adobe threw them a googly when they canned Flash for mobiles. So Sony then didn't really have time to readjust, and develop their browser around other things, like HTML5.
If they do plan on fixing it, I'd expect them to do so in the next 2 months. If they don't, then I doubt they'll bother, just like with the PS3.

But you would think after the failure of the PS3's Browser which was based on a Netfront one (I think thats correct?). They would have maybe had thought it was a big deal to a lot of people making them in turn invest more money in a decent browser. Be it their own or another companies like the rumblings of chrome or firefox on the PS3. All I can say is I hope they do sort it out.

Yeah, I don't understand the negativity- the 16gb is the same price as the 16gb card the PSP uses.
16gb Vita Card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vita-M…..038;sr=1-2
16gb PSP Card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-1…..-2-catcorr
Price is £39.99 on both.
But every new console gets nitpicked.
That is pretty good pricing really for a 16GB card at launch especially being new media. Thinking back to to the old PSP days when they introduced 2GB memory sticks, that were priced at around £120.

ShopTo's ebay outlet have Vitas for £213 in case anyone was still looking round for a good price or if you order it from Amazon.fr then you can have it w/ shipping for £205 for wifi or £246 for the 3G. Not bad I thought and apparently they might still ship it from a UK warehouse which is even better.

I ordered my wifi/vita from entertainment cave ebay outlet for £199.95. Which is a great price that i found on hot uk deals.
The hut have the 16gb card for £38.** however i used a 10% code they sent me to get it for 34.60 or something like that. The voucher says not in conjunction with pre-orders but i put it in anyway and it worked!
I tried it for the ps vita games like uncharted etc at the same time but it didnt take a discount for them.

It was part of a bundle I think (I bought PSP Day 1 in Europe).
Maybe I paid even more, I thought €80+ at first, but assumed I was wrong.
