I'm not a big TB fan but that was a good vid.

Well what a load of dribble.

I have spent 17 minutes of my life listening to stuff that has been more intellectually realised and discussed by the likes of Cohen and Baudrillard. This guy obviously isn't versed in modern media, more so he is biased purely down to the clever rhetoric he uses "i'm not condemning the media" – Indeed he isn't directly, but he is implying it by showing more evidence against the media and never considering the other side of the argument, instead just trashing it to pieces. Example: "there is absolutely no evidence of a connection between video games and shootings" – Very True, but then there is nothing to disprove it also.

Personally I like more insightful videos that discuss and explore a focused aspect of an issue (one issue can never be covered in absolute) so that me, the person viewing it can consider different points of view because at the end of the day there is rarely firm answers. I would mention that the author of this video does have some valid points about the media, but as I say anyone who interested in such things are better consulting media 'theory and criticism' books focusing on Cohen's Moral Panic and Baudrillard's Hyper-Reality (That would be un-bias of course).

EDIT: btw curious video to put up nevertheless. Interesting to see how people respond to controversies.
