I use a spreadsheet but mostly on a note pad – very helpful especially collectibles!
With you there Del. I usually copy out a collectable list from ps3trophes.com/org into note pad and delete lines as I go.
Tried it with a spreadsheet but ended up going excel blind and ticking off blast shards I hadnt actually got (resulting in me giving up on the Infamous Platinum)

OfflineSince I have been gaming where collectibles play a big part of platinums I must've gone through at least 90-100 80 page A4 pads writing lists, ticking off, keep note of progress, writing combo lists (Cel Shaded PoP). Funnily enough I never used a pad for infamous. Although after 2 hours of press L3 or R3 (Can't remember which) to locate nearby shards with my thumb, it felt like it was gonna drop off!
After getting the Lego HP years 5-7 Platinum today, I decided to stay away from games with collectibles for a couple of days so I'm playing Disgaea 4 :)

OfflineMy most ambitious hand-written list has to be for FFXIII. I wrote down every accessory and every weapon with each stage and how much exp needed to reach max level. I love writing those lists like every rare weapon in Demon's souls and check 'em off one by one.
Ever since I got a printer (which was pretty recent, I'm late to the party) I've printed a few lists that I made in openoffice calk instead (like star bottle caps and sidequests in Fallout new vegas, most recently)

OnlineI do and have written various list/spreadsheet. I think for me, as well as being practical, is a way of doing something related to games/gaming when I can't game, like when I'm at work.
I also have a "reminder" list on my iPhone to keep track of what save files need to be downloaded to my Slim and Fat from the Save Cloud. As I play games on my different PS3s (one is upstairs, one is downstairs) and upload all my save files to the Cloud after playing, the list enables me to always download and have the latest save files on both PS3s.
EDIT: And keeping with trophy banter, McProley and I got the "Vic Vos" Peace Walker trophy last night for getting 20,000 Camaraderie after lots of Versus games. That's all the online/multiplayer trophies done now!

OfflineCompleted Sniper Elite V2 on Sniper Elite difficulty last night, just the collectible trophies (Gold bars and Wine bottles using Chapter select on Cadet difficulty
) left in single player, then start a co-op campaign with Youles in June sometime, which'll be a cakewalk for platinum
I've enjoyed the game, albeit with it's few snags like the lack of a HUD or mini-map for sniping purposes. It is a good game and I'd say that the Sniper Elite difficulty playthrough is similar difficulty-wise to MOH Frontline Hard difficulty, but Sniper is a bit easier than that, especially with the decently placed checkpoints that MOH F was lacking.

I used to have a cheat folder. Anyone else have something similar? It contained all the cheat codes for my PS2 games if I ever wanted to use them. Came in quite handy though, some were handwritten too but most printed from gamefaq's.
YES! I used to have a folder specific to GTA. haha

Well done mate – guess I should order my copy today then
Should arrive early next week then perhaps we could have our first co-op session over the Queen's Bank Holiday at some point?

Totally up to you mate, as I said I'm in no particular rush and it'd be better for you to get some single player action done before starting the co-op campaign. I will happily make a start on Max Payne in the meantime, so take your time and we'll start when you are ready….I really don't mind when that is ![]()

OfflineHow is Sniper btw?
I like the look of it & love the x-ray effect when you shoot someone, but i am not a fan of sitting on a hill for 3 hours waiting for the perfect shot – I tend to get bored & wanna get 'up close & personal' instead! At least that's how it works when i am a sniper on BF3 anyway.
It all depends on how its scripted i suppose – If it's done well enough, you shouldn't feel like you are just waiting & waiting.

It's action all of the way mate, you do have to try and be stealthy by creeping around with enemies backs facing you in some areas, but the moment that one spots you or turns and faces your direction the Alarm sounds and the only way to stop it is by killing every Nazi in that area.
They will flush you out while the Alarm is raised and rush you in an instant. I didn't find any areas where I was waiting for the perfect shot, or anything like that…..the majority of my shots were torso anyway due to the difficulty level with wind drop, heartbeat, breathing etc. all affecting the bullets aim.
There are times when close combat is unavoidable….due to no HUD or mini-map for reference and enemies suddenly appearing around corners etc.
In all it's a great game that I've enjoyed, although I dived in at the deep end by playing at Sniper Elite difficulty from the start and had to learn rather quickly

That's actually good to know, as if the hardest difficulty is available from the start, that's generally where i tend to start. That way, if subsequent playthroughs are required (for collectibles etc), you just play on a lower difficulty & theoritcally speaking, it should be a breeze.
Thanks for letting me know.![]()
