A good indication is that I actually remember them because games fall in and out of my memory as though it's a sieve, so I'll put the one that popped into my mind as soon as I saw the thread title.
Mafia 2. Perhaps not the close to the story I wanted but it was a brilliant ending to one of the best games I've played on PS3.
Mafia 2? I'd love to say I knew how it finished but I get fed up trying that Docks/Warehouse bit over and over.
Stupid gunfight bit, late on in the game? That wasn't a high point for me either. Aerobes is spot on with the ending, surprised I'd forgotten about it. One of those endings where there's the way it could have played out, and you'd have probably bet on it happening, and the way it actually plays out which catches you off-guard.
Yeah, that's the one. With the fella lobbing down molotovs from the overhead gantry, I'll give it another crack if you guys are right about the ending. I sense I'm not too far off given how the plot progressed.

No, you're not far off the end at all if I remember correctly. I seem to remember being able to pick off a few of the guys in that warehouse without going inside all the way, if that helps. That git with the molotovs, that brings back some memories of foul language and frustration – I also had the same issue with the cruise ship on Uncharted 3, borrowed it, never got past that point and have long since given the game back having vowed never to touch it again!

Yep, you're close. That is a really difficult section but it's definitely worth pushing through! It's also worth noting that devs should be a bit more careful with these things because if you've stopped there, I wonder how many others have? A stupid difficulty spike which will have killed the game for many and stopped them enjoying the culmination of one of the best yarns around.
Tough one for me i think the endings to God Of War 1,PoP:Sands Of Time,Mass Effect,Uncharted 2 were awesome! i also loved the ending to Nier im suprised that has not been mentioned but i know alot of people aint played it but for me the best EVER has to Bioshock im not going to give anything away but if you lve story driven games it's the game to play!
Nice Thread!
