@Bambo: Yodel are very hit and miss. My usual Yodel driver is always extremely pleasant and usually delivers late evening as I'm near the end of his round. However, for a lot of people, Yodel are terrible. I've had packages before that's been out for delivery and it's never turned up with the tracking saying they tried calling and leaving a card (when they haven't, they just couldn't be arsed to deliver) and having it delivered the next day. I know there's quite a few petitions on websites wanting them to use a different courier and I think some are scaling back their use of them. To the credit of Yodel, my usual driver is always spot on, it's when you get the other monkeys who couldn't give a toss.

Yodel are disgusting. 

Their delivery guy for my iPhone a) Didn't deliver on the day he was supposed to, b) signed for the package himself and c) left it on my doorstep the next day without even bloody well knocking on my front door!

I told CPW exactly what I thought of Yodel after this BS.

Haha! Luckily for me, collections are on a Monday, and this tool plopped it on my doorstep on a Saturday.

You may as well have just gone to the warehouse yourself lol. SSD is normally pretty bad with release dates. My copy of Uncharted still hasn't shown up

It has been fine with everything else I order, eg most of preorders Dead Space 2, Uncharted 2 etc… all turned up day one or a day after with SSD and then were dispatched on the actual release date for both of them. So dont understand why it wouldnt turn up today :P Teaches me right for being cheap and not sparing an extra £2 on the order. 

I wouldn't classify anything late as 'fine' though. If I'm ordering in advance, Amazon should be ensuring I receive the product on the release date even with SSD, they have plenty of time to plan in advance of a product launch.

I think it's Amazon's way of nudging people to use paid delivery for pre-orders and it's really annoying. They know damn well that dispatching the night before release date 2nd class post won't get there in time.
