I've only listened to two decent albums released this year..
Pearl Jam – Backspacer
Blackstone Cherry – Folklore and Superstition
Other than that, I rediscovered Tool recently (thanks to GH:WT) especially the Undertow and Enema albums.. Good stuff

Some of my favourites from 2009:
The Antlers – Hospice
Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavilion
Girls – Album
The Rural Alberta Advantage – Hometowns
Yo La Tengo – Popular Songs
Much kudos if you've even heard of these bands. And yes, I do listen to more popular music (Muse, Kasabian etc); it's just that obscure American indie is, y'know, better…

My music is anything but mainstream. A mish-mash of ambient electronica and chill-out. Likes of Jon Hopkins, William Orbit, Imogen Heap, Echaskech, Vangelis, BT, Deleriium, etc. If anyone likes this sort of thing, say-so and I can advise. Otherwise, I'll be in my corner rocking back and forth with headphones on.

Albums I've enjoyed this year:
Say Anything – Say Anything
Enter Shikari – Common Dreads
All Time Low – Nothing Personal
The Auteur – Nightcap EP
Eat Sleep Attack – Fallin' EP (Kinda cheeky, I recorded one of the tracks on the CD version)
Lost On Landing – Sweet Talk Single
More stuff I liked last year (Bayside, Crystal Castles, The Gaslight Anthem, You Me At 6, All American Rejects, Friendly Fires, My Awesome Compilation). Probably missing a lot of stuff I liked this year, but my CDs are at home and I'm not.

The only albums released this year that i've payed attention to are:
Julian Casablancas – Phrazes for the Young
Flight of the Conchords – I Told You I Was Freaky
The Lonely Island – Incredibad
@Raen what is this "CD" you speak of?
