I have recently got my hands on Fallout 3, but it is not the GOTY edition.  As this does not include any DLC I am looking at getting some from the PSN.  I will not get all as this is too much in one set.  So do you have any recomendations on the best selection (or sinlge piece) of DLC for me to get for this.

I am looking at extending the life of the game as I have heard that some players cannot carry on playing once the story is finished.  Is there anything (i think I have heard this to be true) that can allow you to keep playing the game after comoleting, and anything I should know about in bugs and glitches etc.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.  I know what you mean about the bugs.  Before I even got out the Vault I had a major glitch that would not allow me to sit my G.O.A.T if I had a fight beforehand.  How do these things make it through?

Oh and if I get broken Steel, I take it there will be no ill effects or problems if I add this to a game that is in progress.

In terms of value for money, go for Point Lookout, you get a huge new area to explore (well, fairly for big for one pack) and it is challenging and enjoyable.

Broken Steel should be bought first though, for obvious reasons.

You should sell Fallout3 and get GOTY though, much cheaper option as GOTY can be picked up for like £20 and all of the DLC packs are worth bothering with, if not just for the simple fact it is more Fallout3 to play!

i got GOTY edition for £25 in ASDA, with the original game and £40 worth of DLC, so yeh, if you like the game, dont buy DLC just sell and get GOTY edition

Broken Steel and Point Lookout are the best choices to get first. I do agree that you would do a better deal to just get the GOTY edition though.

Anchorage is shit, Zeta is rubbish, both very short and no reason to return, so go for Broken Steel and Point Lookout, and The Pitt was pretty good too.

Yeah the trouble is it is a Christmas present for me and the girlfriend, we said to get the GOTY of the year edition as it is cheaper and more value, but we only got Fallout 3, no big problem just would be rude to try and replace it.  Will bite thre bullet and go with Broken steel.

Your girlfriend is a vault dweller (or lone wanderer) as well? Cool.

Broken Steel is the only one i can recommend worth getting.

The pitt: BAd Framerate and very short

Point Lookout: Superhard AI even on easiest difficulty

Operation Anchorage: Short and only playable once.

Mothership Zeta: Short but it is kind of cool. Worth looking at and maybe buying but only playable once.
